Op deze pagina vindt u meer informatie over design en alle gerelateerde artikelen.

Sinds het ontstaan van design is er vooral veel geschreven en gezegd over de vele facetten die erbij komen kijken. De volgende periode zal er steeds meer worden toegevoegd op deze pagina's over design.

De huidige informatie is geschreven door de auteur die zeer veel kennis en ervaring heeft op het gebied van design. Door beide professionele en kundige aanpak. U kunt hier daarom vooral ervanuit gaan dat de informatie die u hier vindt over de verschillende zaken vooral een grondig uitgezochte achtergrond hebben. Deze is veelal gecontroleerd en goed hierzien door de auteur en ook door verschillende andere partijen.

Wij doen onze uiterste best om de bronvermelding zo nauwkeurig mogelijk bij te houden. Mocht u eigenaar zijn van de bron en deze niet vermeld zien staan op de pagina. Dan kan ik u vragen om een bericht te versturen naar de redactie van deze website.

Als er veel over design wordt geschreven dan is er meestal wel de kern van het artikel mede daardoor zal de informatie en de publiekelijke voorzieningen door deze worden omschreven. De vertalingen van die teksten zijn veelal goed gedaan. Echter, de blanco rapportages zijn niet voorzien van de juiste uitleg.

Een verzameling van zaken die we vooral veel vinden in relatie tot design zijn vooral de meest voorkomende reacties in de verschillende media. We kunnen hierbij denken aan de kranten, radio en TV. Ook op het internet zien we veel terugkomen. De overheid van de lokale bevolking zou dit zeker promoten, ware het niet dat er nogal veel onkunde is op dit gebied.

Onderhouden van de design is ook een veelgevraagd onderwerp. Het dient de voorkeur om het onderhoud te laten doen bij een gecertificeerde dealer. De aankoop is meestal voorzien van een waardebon voor gratis enkele onderhoudsbeurten. Verder kunt u natuurlijk zel veel leed voorkomen door regelmatig te controleren of alles in orde is. Naast een prijsvergelijk van de verschillende artikelen is er natuurlijk ook de voorziening om de laagste prijsgarantie bij de aaankoop te bedingen. Dit is niet mogelijk bij de tweedehands verkoop of aankoop van de produkten. Toch kan het ook hier de aanbeveling dienen als dit goed wordt besproken en dit vooral zwart op wit vast te leggen. Hiermee voorkomt u een lastige discussie wanneer er problemen optreden.

Kortom het bezit van design is vooral een zaak van goed vooronderzoek doen en u goed te laten informeren bij diverse instanties. Verder kunt u zich aansluiten bij verenigingen waar u vast en zeker veel kunt opdoen over het reilen en zeilen omtrent dit produkt.

Waar kunt u goedkoop kopen? De goedkoopste design zijn vooral te vinden bij winkels die het product tegen lage prijzen kunnen aanbieden. Goedkope versies zijn meestal goed van kwaliteit maar wat minder uitgebreid dan de duurdere versies. Kwalitief en goedkope design in diverse uitvoeringen vindt u op op de onderstaande links. Iran Reverse Engineers Cobra Attack Helicopter
Hugh Pickens writes "Continuing its tradition of reverse engineering and fabricating its stockpile of 40-year old American weaponry, Iran announced that it is about to unveil its first ever domestically produced Cobra attack choppers. Nearly 50 years after the U.S. introduced the legendary Bell AH-1 Cobra, once the backbone of the U.S. Army's attack helicopter fleet, Iran's locally-grown Cobras will be armed with 'different types of home-made caliber guns, rockets and missiles,' according to Iran's semi-official Fars news agency. 'All the phases of designing and manufacturing of the chopper have been done inside the country and the helicopter enjoys some capabilities which make it preferable to Apache Choppers,' says Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari. Iranian officials stress that Iran's military and arms programs serve defensive purposes and should not be perceived as a threat to any other country, reports the FARS news release. US CIO/CTO: Idea of Hiring COBOL Coders Laughable
theodp writes "If you're a COBOL programmer, you're apparently persona non grata in the eyes of the nation's Chief Information and Chief Technology Officers. Discussing new government technology initiatives at the TechCrunch Disrupt Conference, Federal CIO Steven VanRoekel quipped, 'I'm recruiting COBOL developers, any out there?,' sending Federal CTO Todd Park into fits of laughter (video). Lest anyone think he was serious about hiring the old fogies, VanRoekel added: 'Trust me, we still have it in the Federal government, which is quite, quite scary.' So what are VanRoekel and Park looking for? 'Bad a** innovators — the baddest a** of the bad a**es out there,' Park explained (video), 'to design, create, and kick a** for America.' Van Jacobson Denies Averting Internet Meltdown In 1980s
New submitter strangebush sends this quote from Wired about Van Jacobson's work on the TCP/IP protocol in the '80s, which helped stabilize early computer networks enough for them to eventually grow into the internet: "'I was getting a bit per second between two network gateways that were literally in the same room,' Jacobson remembers. ... In 1985, Berkeley ran one of the IMPs, or interface message processors, that served as the main nodes on the ARPAnet, a network funded by the U.S. Department of Defense that connected various research institutions and government organizations across the country. The network was designed so that any node could send data at any time, but for some reason, Berkeley's IMP was only sending data every twelve seconds. As it turns out, the IMP was waiting for other nodes to complete their transmissions before sending its data. The ARPAnet was meant to be a mesh network, where all nodes can operate on their own, but it was behaving like a token ring network, where each node can only send when they receive a master token. 'Our IMP would just keep accumulating data and accumulating data for about twelve seconds and then it would dump it,' says Jacobson. 'It was like the old token ring networks when you couldn't say anything until you got the token. But the ARPAnet wasn't built to do that. There was no global protocol like that.'" 'The problem Loebner has is that computer scientists in universities and large tech firms, the people with the skills and resources best-suited to building a machine capable of acting like a human, are generally not focused on passing the Turing Test. ... And while passing the Turing Test would be a landmark achievement in the field of AI, the test’s focus on having the computer have to fool a human is a distraction. Fire May Leave US Nuclear Sub Damaged Beyond Repair
Hugh Pickens writes "AP reports that a fire that swept through a nuclear-powered submarine in dry dock at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard has caused such extensive damage to its forward compartments that the 22-year-old Los Angeles-class attack submarine might have to be scrapped. 'These submarines were designed decades ago. So they're no longer state of the art,' says analyst Loren Thompson. 'If this vessel returns to service, I will be amazed.' The fire broke out while the Miami was on a 20-month stay at the shipyard for an overhaul, and it took firefighters from more than a dozen agencies twelve hours to put out the fire, described as intense, smoky, and a 'hot scary mess.' 'It takes a lot of guts to go into a burning building. But the idea of going into a submarine full of hot toxic smoke — that's real courage,' said U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree after meeting with the shipyard commander. Firefighters isolated the flames so they would not spread to nuclear propulsion spaces at the rear of the submarine. There was nuclear fuel on board the sub, but the reactor has been shut down for two months and was unaffected. Rear Admiral Rick Breckenridge says an investigation has been launched into what caused the fire, but he expects that investigation to take a long time to complete and wouldn't say if human error has been ruled out as a cause of the fire, or if the focus is on mechanical issues." Why Open Compute Is a Win For Rackspace

The cloud provider spends $200 million a year on servers and storage, and sees the Open Compute Project as the key to reducing its costs on hardware design and operations. Rackspace is keen on the potential of the new Open Rack program, and its buying power is motivating HP and Dell to develop for the new standard — partly because Rackspace has also been talking with original design manufacturers like Quantra and Wistron, It's an early look at how open source hardware could have a virtuous impact on the server economy. 'I think the OEMs were not very interested (in Open Compute) initially,' said Rackspace COO Mark Roenigk. 'But in the last six months they have become really focused.'" MIT Prof Predicts the End of Disabilities In Next 50 Years
judgecorp writes "MIT professor Hugh Herr, describes how technology can end disability in 50 years — with a big incentive from the need to support injured war veterans. A champion climber, Herr lost both legs below the knee, returned to climbing and designed improved climbing prostheses. From the article: 'Herr believes the work he is doing won’t just have humanitarian benefits. There’s money to be made too. And if there’s a market here, it means more people will receive help. Despite all the horrors and injustices the Iraq and Afghanistan wars spawned, they have helped make the biomechatronics industry a lot more viable. Back in 2007, Herr gave Garth Stewart, a 24-year-old Army veteran who lost his left leg below the knee during the conflict in Iraq, a bionic ankle. Science Reveals Why Airplane Food Tastes So Bad
Hugh Pickens writes "Jad Mouawad writes that at low elevations, the 10,000 or so taste buds in the human mouth work pretty much as nature intended but step aboard a modern airliner, and the sense of taste loses its bearings. Even before a plane takes off, the atmosphere inside the cabin dries out the nose, as the plane ascends the change in air pressure numbs about a third of the taste buds, and at 35,000 feet with cabin humidity levels kept low by design to reduce the risk of fuselage corrosion, xerostomia or cotton mouth sets in. This explain why airlines tend to salt and spice food heavily. Without all that extra kick, food tastes bland. 'Ice cream is about the only thing I can think of that tastes good on a plane,' says Marion Nestle, a professor of nutrition, food studies and public health at New York University. 'Airlines have a problem with food on board. The packaging, freezing, drying and storage are hard on flavor at any altitude, let alone 30,000 feet.' Challenges abound. First food safety standards require all meals to be cooked first on the ground. After that, they are blast-chilled and refrigerated until they can be stacked on carts and loaded on planes. For safety, open-flame grills and ovens aren't allowed on commercial aircraft so attendants must contend with convection ovens that blow hot, dry air over the food.
